Where do you call home?

I’ve lived in Gurnee since 2001 with my wife Linda and where we raised our three children. Before that we lived in Chicago on the Northwest Side.

What do you do when you're not working?

We own a Flying Scot, a 19-foot day-sailer, and like to race it on Delavan Lake every weekend in the summer. We enjoy spending time with the family, which now includes three grandchildren, whether it is going to the lake, a barbecue, or our favorite food festival: Cheese Days in Monroe, WI. I am unofficially the family historian. Before kids, I liked to read a lot, so I might try that again.

What do you love about your job?

Helping people achieve the dreams of home ownership and taking the next steps to financial security. It’s the American Dream, which is the best one to help come true.

What is your favorite TV show?

I like historical dramas like “The Crown,” “Victoria,” and even “Outlander.” I really liked the early seasons of “House of Cards,” and, of course, “Mad Men” and “Breaking Bad.” “Survivor” is a favorite, too.

Favorite Movie?

There are certain movies that when they come on, no matter at what point in the film, and I happen to see it, I just sit down and keep watching it and can’t stop. The Godfather, Shawshank Redemption, and the series Lonesome Dove is like that for me. I am particularly fond of Westerns with really good gunfights, like “Shane,” and I’ll even slog through “Open Range” just for the gunfight. It sounds crazy, but I like submarine movies, even bad ones. Thankfully there is “Hunt for Red October,” and “Crimson Tide.” 

Favorite Food?

Is anything better than pizza? I think not. But French cuisine comes close.
